TitleEffect of Air Pollution on Preterm Birth Among Children Born in Southern California Between 1989 and 1993
CommentsThis article argues that exposure to fine particulate matter and carbon monoxide may contribute to preterm births in Southern California. Particulate matter was associated with preterm births in all regions whereas carbon monoxide only showed an effect in inland ones. Nitrogen dioxide and ozone were also tested, but showed no effect.
